Eight deaf pupils and their helpless teachers are forced off a school bus and held hostage in a former slaughterhouse. The three madmen who have them at gunpoint have a simple plan: one hostage an hour will die unless the demands are met. Arthur Potter, the FBI’s best hostage negotiator has a plan but so does one of the hostages-a young teacher who’s willing to do anything to save the lives of her students. Now, the clock is ticking as a chilling negotiation begins.

There is a “big twist” in this story which I worked out before the end but it is a good holiday read. I didn’t really need the “love interest” elements in the story but it read like some TV movie already had taken out an option on the plot and it wouldn’t work without an emotional hook on TV.
